Startling casting news sets All The Sinners Bleed on fire: the Netflix adaptation has just added eleven new cast members to join Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, John Douglas Thompson, Nicole Beharie, Daniel Ezra, Andrea Cortés, Murray Bartlett, and Leila George.
The new lineup includes Giancarlo Esposito (known for Breaking Bad and The Residence) portraying Ezekiel Wiggins; David Lyons (The Beast in Me, Truth Be Told) as Jasper Sanderson; Donald Elise Watkins (Emergency) as Deputy Trey Avery; Mackenzie Astin (Stick, The Pitt) as Deputy Pip Collins; Jordan M. Cox (P-Valley) as Deputy Tom Sadler; Cullen Moss (Outer Banks, Your Honor) as Deputy Roger Simmons; Angus O’Brien (Boots) as Deputy Davy Burks; Cranston Johnson (Hap and Leonard, Naomi) as Reverend Jamal Addison; Christopher Matthew Cook (Dog Eat Dog, High Potential) as Royce Lazare; Christopher Thornton (The Lincoln Lawyer) as Dispatcher Cam Trowder; and Bill Oberst Jr. (Criminal Minds, Three From Hell) as Pastor Elias Hillington.
Showrunner and executive producer Joe Robert Cole, who adapted S.A. Cosby’s novel for television, leads All The Sinners Bleed. The series centers Titus Crown (Dìrísù), the first Black sheriff in a small Bible Belt county. Plagued by the sudden death of his devout mother, he must lead the pursuit of a serial killer who has targeted his Black community for years, all in the name of God.
Filming is currently underway in Atlanta. Cole serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer and is directing the first episode as well as subsequent installments. Higher Ground Productions, Amblin Television, and Cosby are also executive producers, with additional involvement from Netflix.
