Heads up, Cary drivers! If you're planning to use Kildaire Farm Road this morning, you might want to rethink your route. Crews are hard at work repairing a water main break, which means potential delays and detours are in your future.
According to a press release from the Town of Cary, the repair work is focused on the intersection of Cary Parkway and Kildaire Farm Road. The crews were on-site and working as early as 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning to fix the leak.
Fortunately, there are no reports of water service outages for residents, which is a relief! However, you should still anticipate some traffic control measures and plan for delays. Here's what you need to know about the traffic restrictions:
- Southbound Kildaire Farm Road (from High Meadow Drive): Drivers will be required to turn left or right onto Cary Parkway. Through traffic on Kildaire Farm Road will not be permitted.
- Northbound Kildare Farm Road (from Queensferry Road): Left turns onto Cary Parkway will not be allowed.
- Eastbound Cary Parkway (from Killarney Drive): Left turns onto Kildare Farm Road will not be allowed.
So, if your commute takes you through this area, be sure to give yourself some extra time and consider alternate routes to avoid the congestion. Stay safe out there, and happy driving!
What do you think about the timing of these repairs? Do you think it's better to get them done early in the morning, or would another time be more convenient for you? Share your thoughts in the comments!
