And this is the part most people miss—while many former MotoE riders like Mattia Casadei and Alessandro Zaccone are turning to World Supersport, Ferrari is taking a different path. He’s not only set to race in WorldSSP with the WRP team on a Ducati but is also diving headfirst into CFMoto’s World Superbike endeavor. According to Italian publication GPOne, CFMoto has even enlisted the expertise of a former Ducati engineer to refine their chassis development, signaling serious intent.
Ferrari’s mission? To transform the CFMoto V4SR-RR into a championship-worthy contender. Unveiled at the 2023 EICMA show, this bike is slated to hit dealerships and the racetrack by 2027. If successful, CFMoto will become the fourth Chinese manufacturer in the WorldSBK paddock, joining the ranks of QJMotor, Kove, and ZXMoto, the latter making its WorldSSP debut in 2026.
