Shah questioned the team's preparation, wondering why their reported intense practice sessions didn't translate into a competitive performance. "What exactly were they practicing? Certainly not batting, judging by their display. All the talk of batting, bowling, and fielding practice - it was all for nothing."
In a passionate display of disappointment, Shah continued, "These guys couldn't even manage a century. The team is facing immense embarrassment. We knew it would be bad, but this is beyond humiliating."
"So many wasted prayers. We should have stuck to our decision not to play. At least we'd be spared this disappointment and shame," she concluded.
The backlash extended beyond the players, with former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar launching a scathing attack on the Pakistan Cricket Board chief, Mohsin Naqvi. Akhtar questioned Naqvi's competence and the continued support for underperforming players.
"One guy doesn't even know he's the chairman! How can the team function like this? You've made him a superstar, but he can't win a single match. He's a star who can't win a living match," Akhtar exclaimed.
