Ranbir Kapoor's Film Schedule: Balancing 'Love & War' and 'Ramayana' Part 2
Ranbir Kapoor is currently juggling two major projects: Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana' and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love and War'. The epic 'Ramayana' is set to be a two-part saga, with the first part premiering on Diwali 2026 and the second part expected the following year. However, due to an extended shooting schedule for 'Ramayana', Ranbir has decided to prioritize 'Love and War' first, delaying the release of 'Ramayana Part 2'.
The Change in Shooting Schedule
Initially, Ranbir planned to complete both parts of 'Ramayana' before starting 'Love and War'. But with the extended shooting for 'Ramayana', he has had to shift his focus. All available dates are now dedicated to Bhansali's film, which means 'Ramayana Part 2' may not be released as planned by the end of 2026.
Star-Studded Cast of 'Ramayana'
In 'Ramayana', Ranbir plays the role of Ram, with Sai Pallavi as Sita. Yash, known for his role in 'KGF', will portray Ravana. Sunny Deol takes on the role of Hanuman, while Ravi Dubey plays Lakshman. The cast also includes Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, and a host of other talented actors.
'Love and War': A Dream Project
'Love and War' features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. Ranbir spoke highly of the film at a recent Mumbai meet and greet, stating, 'Love and War is every actor's dream. Working with brilliant actors like Alia and Vicky, and being directed by the master, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is truly amazing. I haven't met a human being who works so hard and understands characters, emotions, music, and Indian culture as much as Sanjay Leela Bhansali.'
Despite the challenges, Ranbir's dedication to both films is evident, and fans can expect a star-studded, visually stunning experience from both 'Love and War' and 'Ramayana'.
