Get ready for an epic wrestling showdown! WWE has just unveiled the final four stars who will battle it out in The Last Time Is Now Tournament, and it's a thrilling line-up. But here's where it gets controversial...
Our resident wrestling expert, Cain A. Knight, a hardcore wrestling analyst, has been following the sport since the 80s and is here to break it down for us. WWE has randomly selected 16 wrestlers to compete in this tournament, with the winner earning the honor of facing John Cena in his retirement match next month. Talk about a dream opportunity!
This week's Raw and SmackDown episodes gave us a glimpse into the first four opening round matches, and the winners have advanced to round two. LA Knight, Jey Uso, Rusev, and Sheamus are the lucky ones moving forward, while Zack Ryder, The Miz, Damian Priest, and Shinsuke Nakamura were unfortunately sent packing.
And this is the part most people miss: the opening round isn't over yet! Next week, we'll witness four more matches that will complete the first round. WWE has already revealed the matchups for the Nov. 17 episode of Raw, with GUNTHER facing Je'Von Evans and Solo Sikoa taking on a mystery opponent. The final two matches were just announced on SmackDown, pitting Penta against Finn Balor and Carmelo Hayes against Bronson Reed.
So, we now have a full slate of opening round matches, but the tournament bracket is still a mystery. Who do you think will emerge as the favorite to face Cena in his final WWE match?
Are you disappointed that R-Truth didn't make the cut? Did you expect more surprise entrants? And what about GUNTHER's chances? Is he the clear favorite, or do you see an underdog story unfolding?
Let us know your thoughts in the comments! Will this tournament live up to the hype, or will it fall flat? We want to hear your predictions and opinions. Don't hold back, wrestling fans!
